IP Genie UCP Interoperability with Yealink
McWilliams Communications, the complete VOIP specialists, have completed inter-operability testing with the Yealink range of IP handsets to integrate onto their IPGENIE UCP (unified communications platform).
IPGENIE, which is built and designed in the UK, is an unlicensed, Asterix-based open source IPPBX which is set to challenge legacy ISDN and analogue lines, as well as business telephony systems. A key benefit of the McWilliams switch is that it delivers impressive call quality by utilising just 15k over each of the six channels it provides via a standard 256k connection. Many other switches use between 40-60k, which can cause service degradation.
IP Genie Smart Business Show Success
IP Genie recently took a stand at the inaugural first Smart Business Show in Belfast alongside some of the market's leaders. Google, BT and Fujitsu were just some of the prestigious companies involved. To exhibit at such an event gave IPGENIE a presence at the show displaying some of the up-to-date VoIP products, which included the IPGENIE UCP (unified communications platform) alongside the Fanvil range of IP Handsets.
IP Genie Moves to Centre Stage
The global economic downturn has increased the urgency among companies of all sizes to reduce costs and find smarter and more efficient ways to do business. From our perspective, this imperative is moving VoIP and open-source telecom solutions, like IPGENIE UCP, to centre stage.
Clearly, the march to VoIP – among customers and carriers – began before the current worldwide economic crisis. Still, for us and other VoIP providers business is brisk as more and more companies rush to implement VoIP solutions. Enterprise customers in growing numbers are turning to VoIP for inter-branch, intra-company calling while more and more call centres, hotels and SMBs (small and mid-sized businesses) rely on it for all inbound and outbound international calls.
McWilliams Communications Claims Industry First
VoIP specialist McWilliams Communications is claiming an industry first with the launch of a licence-free managed server version of its IPGENIE UCP Pure IP-PBX system.
McWilliams says the solution offers a simple and cost-effective way for resellers to create their own Hosted IP Telephony service for customers, rather than selling on someone else's product.
